Fundraising Letter

The following letter was sent out to all Zeta Xi Alumnae. I am posting it here just in case we did not have your current mailing address. Please read! Thanks!

Dear Zeta Xi Alumna,

As you may have heard from our Alumnae Tailgate last fall and from the recent newsletter, the Zeta Xi Chapter is moving into new housing! Auburn University has decided to build a new sorority housing complex called The Village, which will offer apartment-style living to three sororities per building. Each chapter's wing includes housing for 40 women, a study lounge, kitchen, and a chapter room. Every sorority is responsible for furnishing every aspect of their common areas, lounge, and chapter room. This is an exciting, yet daunting, undertaking.

To maintain the highest standards, we need a chapter room that mirrors the impeccable quality of women that define the Zeta Xi Chapter. The design is in place and the contractors are ready. Your beloved chapter needs you, dear sister. The total amount needed is approximately
$100,000. The chapter has already raised some of the funds needed through dues collection, and we are appealing to you, alumnae, to help offset the remaining balance. Any donation you can make will get our chapter one step closer to a beautiful new chapter room. Our chapter
will be celebrating its 30th anniversary at Auburn next year. If the chapter averaged 30 women per class, and each donated at least $30, we could raise upwards of $27,000!

Throughout the years, exceptional women have called our chapter room home, with the current members being no exception, as they all embody the spirit of Alpha Xi Delta. Help us ensure that our chapter continues to grow and prosper and that our sisters get the very best there is to offer. This is a time to reflect on all the wonderful memories you made while in the chapter. Recall what it felt like to recite the ritual and the symphony with your sisters or the fun you had at socials. But most importantly, remember what Alpha Xi Delta has given you: lifelong friends, an unforgettable college experience, and a bond that can never be broken.
